Define roles
Roles decide who can configure and administer the club—not who can book a radio. Get this right early and everyday members enjoy Operating without stumbling into Settings they should not change.

Practical pattern
- Owner — full control; keep the circle small.
- Admin — day-to-day organisation (members, devices, offerings) as you trust them.
- Member (default) — participate: view what they need, book offerings they can see.
- Custom roles — carve specialists (for example billing helpers or device stewards) using the permission matrix.
Remember: offerings and share groups control station use. Granting view_devices does not by itself put someone on the air. See Roles vs offerings.
