Installation

The Flex Radio can be remotely shared over the iShareRadio platform assuming the Flex radio is configured to use Flex SmartLink service.

The diagram below shows two networks separated by the internet. The Flex radio is on the left-hand-side and Route A and the Flex radio have UPnP or port-forwarding configured.

Blue: LAN, Green: WWW

The SmartSDR and iSR Client on the right-hand-side network is used to create a secure, passwordless sharing session with the Flex radio. The iShareRadio Hub handles the credentials.

SmartSDR is not logged into SmartLink. Instead, it is expecting a Flex radio to advertised by the iSR Client on the same LAN.

The Flex Radio and the iSR Client is paired to the iShareRadio Hub. The Hub can then manage the booking and use of the Flex Radio. The iSR Client and Flex Radio communicate over the internet using Flex WAN IP & Ports on the Router A. These ports are either manually forwarded or the radio will use UPnP as per the SmartLink configuration.
