RimuSDR
RimuSDR is a native Linux SDR client suite for FlexRadio 6000, 8000, and Aurora series transceivers. The suite combines the main operating experience with integrated RimuDAX (audio and I/Q) and RimuCAT (CAT control) components, giving Linux operators one cohesive application for everyday radio control.
RimuSDR works with the iSR Client on iShareRadio the same way as Flex SmartSDR: the iSR Client proxies the remote Flex radio to your operator workstation while the Hub manages credentials, bookings, and session access. You do not need SmartSDR on Linux to operate a shared Flex radio through iShareRadio when using RimuSDR.

What RimuSDR includes
From Rimu Systems:
- Core SDR client — panadapter, waterfall, and radio control with MultiFLEX and SmartLink support
- Integrated RimuDAX — virtual audio and I/Q channels for digital modes (FT8, PSK31, RTTY, and similar)
- Integrated RimuCAT — virtual serial port for logging, automation, and CAT-compatible software
See the RimuSDR product page for full feature details, screenshots, and downloads.
Using RimuSDR with iSR Client
The radio-side setup follows the same Flex Radio workflow documented under Flex Radio:
- Configure the Flex radio for SmartLink on the station LAN.
- Pair the radio to the Hub — see Flex Radio pairing.
- Install the iSR Client on the operator LAN (the network where you run RimuSDR), not on the radio LAN — see Flex Radio installation and the iSR Client installers.
When you connect RimuSDR to a radio proxied by the iSR Client, live control and audio remain point-to-point between your workstation and the radio; the Hub acts as the match-maker for the session without exposing SmartLink credentials to the operator.
